The 360 deg view of Los Angeles is truly a sight, and great for taking those selfies above L.A. But if you're scared of heights, you can always hang out at 71Above restaurant and Lounge, located on the 71st floor., or skip the Sky Slide and head over to the 69th floor and enjoy the view from the Observation Deck. The Interactive Room is where the fun begins! Two panoramic screens are placed on each side of the room and shows guests the night view of Los Angeles. An empty elevator shaft is lighted up as is displayed as the Infinity Mirror on the floor, guests can look down (or not) and it makes you feel as if you're going down- down- down. Then, there's the Silhouette Wall that shows how advanced we've come with technology. The lighted wall will shadow your every movement and is surely a main attraction for all ages ( I for one, tried to capture myself jumping). The Sky Slide is what's the big buzz in L.A. since it opened in 2016. The elevator takes you to the 70th floor where the view is simply spectacular! The 800lb slide is safe, secured, and even built to withstand a hurricane (thought we're lucky not to have those here in L.A.). I know what most are thinking... and don't worry, the slide is air conditioned, so the L.A. heat wont' affect you. In fact, what I find very grateful is that OUE went to above and beyond and installed a ramp for the slide so that people in wheel chairs can also experience the slide. The breath taking views continue at the end of the ride as you slide down to the open air Observation Deck (don't worry, you won't fall off) This is where you'll be able to take those selfies and enjoy a drink and snack above L.A. What better way to enjoy a day or night out with style? Do you dare take a ride?? Drop a comment below or share your experience Read my article for Skyspace LA on Vocal.Media
