No matter where one travels, a camera is always at hand. With newer smartphones equipped to take great photos—lets face it, our phones are ajoined to some place on our bodies. This is after all, the Social Media Era—right?
And because I primarily use my phone to take quick photos, I've been on the search for really good lenses to use for on-the-go, and for when I don't have my Canon camera or GoPro. So far, I've found and love these two universal smartphone lenses:
The Olloclip is always a good choice, but they can be a bit pricey and is mainly only for iPhones.
Both the Aukey and Lenzii smartphones lenses can easily and hassle free attach to any smartphone, tablet, or computer with the clip attachment—which is nice for fast attaching and removing.
*Please Note that the Aukey is for iPhones, but can be easily adjusted to any smartphone camera...
The Aukey smartphone lenses
Aukey carries a variety of lenses and they can be ordered through Amazon, and although these lenses are for iPhones, I am able to use them on my Galaxy S7 with a quick adjustment.
For my first Aukey order, I went with model: PL-WD06—this model is for the Ora 120 degree Wide Angle & 15x Macro Lens set. I like to use their Wide Angle lens to capture a fuller picture when using my Galaxy S7 camera. And the Macro lens allows you to take up close and detailed pictures. I also splurged and bought the Optic Pro 3X Telephoto lens model PL-BL02, this is a great lens for when taking photos at sport events, concerts, and for those group (selfie) photos. You do need to twist the lenses to put them on and off the clip and to interchange from the Wide lens to the Macro lens option, I found myself being extra careful to NOT drop either one. But the end result of the photo is always worth that extra caution.
I've previously did a Product Review on the Lenzii Lenses, and still enjoy using these for a quick snap on and off attachment. Like the Aukey lenses, you need to twist on and off to change between the Wide Angle, Macro, and Fish-eye lens—only these lenses are smaller in size and you can easily handle the change and carry the lenses with one hand.
